Audio HiJack Pro

This app by Rogue Amoeba lets me capture, filter, convert and label quickly and efficiently any sound that passes through my Mac from whatever source.

Mainly I capture Real WebRadio and spend most of my time in it or have it running in the background. Just about never lets me down.

Thumbs up

This is a great app - simple concept, but useful for many things.

Their other app - Snapz Pro X (captures video) is equally great.

You're thinking of Wiretap, by Ambrosia Software, not Audio Hijack Pro. Audio Hijack Pro is much more featureful compared to Wiretap, where AHP can hijack individual applications, apply effects, set up timers, etc., and Wiretap is essentially a "dumb" System-wide audio recorder.

If it is not apparent by the above paragraph, I second (third? fourth?) this nomination. Audio Hijack Pro is amazing.
