QuickBooks is a small business accounting software package made by Intuit; the folks behind Quicken. They just released a new version that runs under Mac OS X that they and Apple are trying to hype.

Unfortunately, in typical Intuit form, the feature list is about 3 years behind what it available on the Windows version so those of us who've been forced to stick with Windows for our accounting, still have to stay there until they catch this version up.
