Getting New PowerBook!!!!

I changed my mind:
instead of getting the new imac, i'm getting the 17 inch powerbook! I travel a lot and i need my music and games and dvds, and i can have all that now!
It comes with iLife i think too... now i can make dvds (not that i need to, i don't take videos, only pics...).

If that is what you are looking for, then get an iBook 14". For that kind of stuff, you don't need the G4s processing power, the iBook is cheaper, and it has a much greater battery life. I have on, and it is great!

but i wanna watch dvds at the biggest thing possible... and i am getting paid a bunch of money for something, also i need that awesome GeForce 4 graphics card... and i like having the best!
But thanks for your suggestion.... i was thinking about the 14", it's like an imac book. the 12" looks "cute", but too small for my liking. I travel a lot in my car (with my family, i'm 13), and i usually need speed (but 1ghz is kind of pointless, even 800 mhz would be fine with me).
I also do a lot of webdesign and photoshop stuff, so i need the extra space and RAM. Right now i use the ancient Blue Dalmation iMac which went obsolete in 3 months lol.
My other computer is a powerbook G3, and it screws up on me so much it's not even funny! Right now it shows a white screen and something about typing BYE, BOOT, or TTYIO or something. i press BYE and return to go into my regular system and says it can't. I type TTYIO and my computer won't start up. I try BOOT, and then i gotta install 10.1 again, and once it finishes it goes back to the screen.
Whatever, I already have my eye on the PowerBook G4, unless something better comes along within the next month.
Ahhh just look at it:

Androo.

I am 13 too, and I probably am in the car more than you!
I am a web designer, that is why I got my iBook. I was using the iMac DV SE before this.
The fact is that although you will be able to watch the DVDs on a bigger screen, you will probably not be able to get though a feature length movie. Even the iBook barely does that, and it has a longer battery life.
Sure, I would LOVE a Powerbook 15", but it was too expensive. I never watch DVDs, so I could make the battery life work. I just wish I had a bigger screen resolution, 1024x798 is really too small for web design...

PS, None of my business, but what are you getting paid for? I could do with some extra cash

i got a special plug in my car for laptops
my friend's friend needs this webdesign, but i dunno if he was joking or not about 5000 bucks, but i am going to get it in the summer anyway if i don't get paid...
1024x768 is too small for webdesign? my friend uses 800x600 and i think he's doing fine (even though the web pages look screwd up on 1024x768, you just gotta make the window smaller...).
lol, i am going to be watching lord of the rings with the extended scenes that they didn't use in the movie theatres, before even a quater of the movie is done the laptop would turn off... that's why i got a regular plug in my car!

I don't need a plug, mine lasts! Still want that screen though. Oh well, need to learn to live with what I've been lucky enough to get.
I wish I had that kind of contract, I would get something on paper if I were you...
When I mean too small to design on, I am talking about Dreamweaver. I've really got to buy MX Studio. Do you have that? I am waiting for Contribute though, that would be really useful for the web site I am doing now. Also for Cold Fusion.

Studio... hmmm... yes! i have studio mx, and i don't really use it. isn't it practically flash mx?
I don't think much people know about coldfusion mx for mac, i noticed it like a month ago when i was checking out the products, cuz i was thinking of getting flash (something that i have and don't use, even though it's extremely useful...). Ah well.

I really don't like Flash web pages, they are very obnoxious IMHO.
By the way, Macromedia Studio MX is Fireworks Dreamweaver Flash and Freehand all bundled together.
