| It still fails the Acid 3 test. Funny enough the latest Safari WebKit (getting the latest builds with NightShift) almost passes the test. Try it out for yourself.

| I tried this Acid 3 test with my "old" Safari (still version 3.0.4) and it also failed. So did IE for Mac (version 5.2.3) and Firefox (version 2). So I don't think any Mac browser will pass it. Or?

| I don't think any browser can fully pass it yet. However I may be wrong but this blog is proving me right.

| Changes under the hood to clean the code and pass the Acid 3 test.

| Nope. On 10.5.2 it is a clean as butter. Have you cleaned your system cache and ran maintenance on that Mac? You can get a cleaning program for 10.4 from either Yasu or Onyx. Run all the routines from either program (it will take the machine a little longer to re-create the cache files on startup) and restart twice after it is done cleaning. Plus older QuickTime plugins can cause havoc with web videos. Keep and eye out for old Quicktime plugins in either /Library/QuickTime/ or /Users/YourUsersName/Library/Quicktime/.
