Burnt by Mozy

I was recently tempted to buy storage space with Mozy (cheaper than renting space on .Mac).

Within a few weeks my files went missing. Luckily some key files I need are also backed up on a DVD, but I still lost some recent family photos which is very dissapointing.

Shit sometimes happens and I don't get too worked up if a company lets you down under exceptional ciricumstances. But Mozy did not care a damn.

Everytime I emailed tham I got a pro forma reply from a Blackberry providing me with standard information. It was not until I sent a stinky email that I got a response from a Mozy manager. However, his involvement was very short-lived.

To Mozy's credit they gave me a full refund after I asked for my account to be closed. However, I would be shy of recommending them to others.
