Question Parallels 3.0, SuSE Linux 10.2, & graphics issues

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone out there has installed SuSE Linux (or any other distr.) in Parallels 3.0 and successfully managed to tweak screen/graphics settings (xorg.conf) so that it provides full onscreen resolution?

I have tried to tweak these settings but with no luck, still having to look at 800x600 reso and 12 colours... I know the issue is lack of ATI driver support for open source Linux distributions, but manuals in Parallels tries to show how to tweak the xconf.org-file in order to alleviate this hurdle. This apparently did not work, I also had an Parallels support fellow tweak my xconf.org file without luck.

My system is MacBook Pro Mac OS X 10.4.10, Intel Core 2 Duo with ATI Radeon X1600 graphics.

thanks,
ibj

OpenSuSE documents tell, that you should install ATI drivers from
www.ati.com. There seem to be drivers for x86 and x86_64 Linux for
X1600. Then check http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:ATI_Drive...ler_under_SUSE for more information.
