Can I Create a 2nd NTFS Partition After WinXP Install?

I have an iMac, running Leopard, a 320GB Hard Drive and I want to install Win XP Pro and VMWare Fusion.

My ultimate objective is to have my Windows OS and programs on my “C Drive” (formatted NTFS) and then have a second NTFS partition for my Windows related Data Files, labeled as my “D Drive”.

So, after some good suggestions from a previous post, I have what seems to me to be a simple solution to my objective. However, "simple to me" is based on what I know and don't know about Mac/Windows working together and this method might not be possible.

Can I simply(?) do the following?

1) Use Boot Camp as normal, to install Windows XP, dividing the existing Mac OS drive in two, installing Windows on the second partition (formatting as NTFS in the process). Eg: 180GB for Mac, 180GB for Windows.
2) After I have Windows, VMW Fusion installed and get both OS's up and running, can I use a program to divide the Windows partition in two (Eg: 40GB for OS and Programs; the remaining 140 GB for data). This would give me a second NTFS partition that I would then label as "D Drive".

Will this method work? Can I use something like Partition Magic or a similar Mac based program? I don't think I can go back and use Boot Camp for this, or repartition with the Windows installation disc...can I?

Just thought I'd ask about going this route before I tried any other suggested methods.
