Photoshop Eps Images Will Not Place In Illustrator Cs

Background - on a Powerbook G4, using Illustrator and Photoshop CS.

Just out of the blue, Illustrator has decided to stop placing images that are saved as EPSs from Photoshop (with and without clipping paths). It will place other formats (tiffs, jpegs,etc.) but not an EPS. Any known bugs for this one?

Open your PS eps with illustrator and drag and drop it into the new doc.

Also, try deleting your Illustrator preference file. Sometimes this file can get corrupt, causing all sorts of weirdness.

Repair permissions too (apps/utilities/disk utility/repair permissions.
