acrobat/tiger conflict resolved?

does anyone know if this issue btwn acrobat 5.0 and tiger 10.4 has a solution yet? i'm having the same issues in Freehand MX as well. i just installed 10.4 and now am unable to create proper prepress quality pdf's...my old process (in 10.2.8) was to use output options, create a .ps file and drag-n-drop into the acrobat 5.0 distiller window in classic. but now, there's no .pdf file being produced...i can't find the .pdf file. and when i use tiger's new "pdf" button, i get a .pdf file that's completely blank.

i've seen a lot of similar older threads to this problem, but i haven't seen any new workable solutions yet....much thanks to anyone w/ new info.
