| I have just upgraded my operating system to Tiger (4.4) and also Dreamweaver to version 8 and I can no longer upload files to my webserver (webfusion hosting) - i am having no problems with other sites that are hosted on different servers. When i spoke to someone at webfusion they reckoned that it might be a firewall thing (but typically they don't know anything about macs!), I have tried changing my firewall settings and that doesn't work. I seem to be able to connect to the webserver, but not upload anything. I have tried uploading using the ftp program cyberduck, but that doesn't work either. Has anyone else been having similar problems? |

| Make sure the FTP is set to use Passive Mode.

| I have no probs with Cyberduck on 10.4.4 going to Windows based FTPs. What exactly is the error you're getting? Come back to us. ATB

| Did your ftp settings get erased in Dreamweaver? New password? Has the host changed anything to your access codes recently?

| I really can't figure this out! I tried logging on to my ftp at work today (same OS and Dreamweaver as i have at home) and I could get on to my server in both Cyberduck and Dreamweaver without any problems. I exported my Cyberduck setting to try at home, now i have imported it here and it still doesn't work! It accepts my login and password when i connect through Cyberduck, but then seems to get stuck on listing the directory content. I end up having to force quit cyberduck. I made sure that I had the same sharing/ firewall settings on my mac at home as I had at work, its there anything else i should be checking in terms of system settings? could it be to do with being connected to the internet via a netgear hub? (ethernet connection, not wireless) I have tried active and passive ftp and it doesn't make any difference although i successfully connected at work using active. |

| Is your site within an intranet, inaccessible from the outside? What is your site URL? You should have codes like this, or similar: Host: ftp.sitenamehere.com User: Me Password: Mypassword

| Is there a firewall on the NetGear hub? Chances are if there is, it's probably the culprit. Check your owners manual to find out and if so, make sure port 21 is enabled for outgoing connections.
