 Preparing portfolios on macosX Hello, I've been using a very simple but efficient sw to design smallscale artist portfolios and hyper-linked presentations on mac: Hyperslider. But it's been some time now, and with macosX more and more in use, I need a more sofisticated, osX and even PC compatible sw for that purpose. Does anyone know such a sw? Thanks... Mahasti  |

| Maybe Keynote is the sort of thing you want, or perhaps OmniGraffle.

| Yes, and I bet you already have a version of it on your computer... Acrobat... as of Acrobat 1.0, hyperlinks and interactive media can be implemented into Acrobat PDF files... There was even a time where you could use a methode ocaleed EPSLinks to create documents to import into Post Script files which would be pre-scripted to do things like go to next page, previous page or any specific page... Now to make interactive PDF's you can either use the 'Hyperlinks' Pallet in InDesign or Use the same on in Quark... Or if you don't have either, while in Acrobat (after you have created you initial layout) you can click on the 'Advanced Editing' button in the Top Left part of the screen and create buttons and links manually. If you are lucky enough to get Acrobat 6.x then you can implement video and sound into your document, if you have no problem going back into OS 9 for Acrobat ?4 then you can implement Flash into your PDF... People don't really know the capabilities of PDF and 'PDFMark'. But just wait... One of the oldest filetypes on the Mac will soon have it's day where everybody will use it properly.  wow, thanx! Thank you Pengu and Potter. Omni Graffle is one of those softwares I just have never laid eyes upon. Will check it out. But Acrobat sounds better. I've heard similar things abuot pdf files before too. Seems we just don't know them well. Will check that out first! Are pdf files PC compatible too? Thanks again. Mahasti |

| Yes, acrobat is good. But to do the advanced editing, i beleive you need the full version of Acrobat, not just Acrobat Reader. If i'm wrong, i apologise, but i'm not aware of any editing features in the reader. There is a demo of Omnigraffle at www.omnigroup.com
