Frustrated ... help connecting Palm to internet through OSX

Could someone please tell me how to connect my Palm Pilot m505 internet? I want to be able to have my Palm in its USB cradle and be able to browse the internet, download mai, use AIM (palm), etc. I've looked everywhere to try and find an answer, but no luck. I've tried all the network settings for my Palm ... PPP, SLIP, CSLIP ... still no luck. Do I need to configure my Mac to open a port for the Palm or something? I tried AvantGo with 9.2 but alls that did was download cached web sites onto my Palm, I want a live connection. What do I do?
