No Support of Dvd Drive Lite-on Dvd Sohd-16p9s

Hi everybody!

I'm fairly good in handling my mac and all the system stuff, so I figured I can handle to integrate my new LITE-ON DVD SOHD-16P9S into the blue and white G3 350 with OS 10.4.2, useing Patchburn.
Bummer! Patchburn doesn't recognize any device, although it can read DVDs and CDs. I tried everything I could think of, for example altering the system/library/frameworks/diskrecording.framework/versions/a/resources/devicesupport.drprofile and vendorsupport.drprofile or stuff like suggested at http://faq.de-soc-mac.de/hardware/nicht_unterstuetzte_cddvdbrenner_in_mac_os_x_einbinden.shtml
Without any succes. :-(

Does anybody know how I can tell the system to recognize this DVD device?
