| Howdy! I have a G4/733 QuickSilver with a CD-RW drive; I'm itching to watch DVDs on this thing (the flat panel display is pleasant), but don't want to upgrade to a SuperDrive and understand there's no way to put a DVD-ROM in the second drive bay without using a hacksaw and creating a possible overheating issue. Is there an easy way to add a DVD-ROM (FireWire, maybe?) for less than $100, and without any creative hardware tinkering? Thanks for any help! Cheers, TH |

| The best idea would be to get a combo drive that both reads DVDs and burns CDs. I think that would be a little over $100, but you'd avoid the hardware hacking ![]()

| Here's a page that has instructions and pics for putting another internal CD Drive in a Quicksilver; http://www.quinnmacdonald.com/g4/index.html Doesn't look to difficult.
