Color Sync

i am lost in color sync. have mac g5, studio cinema display, canon i9900 printer, also nikon coolscan5000 scanner. tried to calibrate my monitor with spyder2 pro. profile had a very distinct green cast and now all my prints are very green. put the spyder profile in trash but no luck. i do not know what profiles to pick for various devices, before spyder disaster prints were not same brightness as what i see on monitor. also color sync
finds 34 problems which it cannot fix using first aid. also, when i try to clean or align print heads on canon i9900 the application
quits every time and i cannot proceed. very confused novice in over his head here.
