Pyro AV link and \"negative\" images

Hi,
I have a dual 1.8 ghz G5 mac with OS 10.4.3 with a analog to digital converter (Pyro AV link APC 550) connected to my copmuter via Firewire. On the analog end I have a VCR, DVD player and also cable carrying tv signals. For software I have myVCR, USB Vision capture, BTV Pro for OS X, and iMovie. No matter which video program I use or which type of input (TV, VCR, DVD) I get a "negative" image after about 20-25 minutes of play. I have tried connecting into the Firewire 400 or 800 ports, and have updated to Firewire SDK 19. No change in the analog to video "negative" images.

Any help would be appreciated.

I also have OS 10.3.9 on another drive and will try under that operating system.

Thank you.

Cheers,
aeb
