Harddrive full overnight

I left my computer connected all night and the next day my hardrive was full.I went into Disk Utility and I had all 74.5 gig was used up. I checked everywhere but could not find any large files. The only new thing I have done recently was to use Entourage and Widgets other than that my Mac has been great since I bought it a year ago.I have no idea how to find the files that have filled up the drive.HELP!!!!

How are you looking for the files? If you're simply using the Finder, then you won't find a lot of the files that OS X uses, because they're hidden or you don't have permission to access them.

Do you have a MacAlly gamepad connected to the computer? The reason I ask is that one of their drivers caused repeated entries to a log file, which quickly swelled until the hard drive was full. They've released updated drivers that fix this problem.

download and use cocktail. this handy little app will flush logs and cache's. if you have hd space after using it, then that was your problem. let us know if it worked.
btw, have you restarted your mac?
