Great Idea On getting a Mac quick..(low budget)

Okay..If i were to get a low end powermac g4...Not alot of Ram or a big hd etc... For around 200-300 And upgrade it as i see neccasary or when i have money..Would this work out? I use dual monitors in Windows..Does Tiger support this... Like in windows if the video card has a vga and dvi you can use dual monitors..Is this the same in mac? Id like to get either 533mhz...Would this be able to run Tiger and iLife 05? Maybe something like this??

I can always upgrade video card, hard drive, ram , optical drives, expansion cards right?? Is 400mhz fast enough to be worth upgrading other parts?
This seems like a better deal though...

Could someone help me out?

I run a G4 Powerbook and I can run duel monitors. I have a 30" HD Cinema Display and I use the laptop screen as a second to run other things(music, iMovie, etc.)

It depends on the model. The one you linked to in your first post can handle 2GB max (4 x 512MB PC100 chips). Some later models only handle 1.5GB, since they have 3 RAM slots instead of 4.

proof that even laptops can do dual screens on a mac. macs pioneered the ease of dual monitor set-ups.

As long as the video card supports dual monitors, no problem. You could run more than two if you put additional video cards in.
You can also upgrade the processor. Check here for upgrades.
