Nokia N70 and OSX 10.3.9 Hiya, I've just got a Nokia N70 and am disappointed to find it doesn't seem to work with my G4 powerbook. Ideally all I want to be able to do is get transfer stuff between the two - pictures mainly. Is there anything I can do to link the two using usb (my powerbook doesn't have blue tooth)?! Many thanks Chris

| Does your Powerbook have bluetooth? If yes then turn on your phones bluetooth do a search for 'any device' on your mac to see if it shows up. EDIT: Just read your post again (somehow didn't see that I don't have bluetooth bit) You can buy those little usb bluetooth adapters for about £10 at any pc place.

Hiya, thanks for that, I'll check out the bluetooth options. I assume it'll be fairly straight forward after that. Cheers again Chris

I've seen a post over at macosxhints.com that might help you: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...51007035617401 It basically involves duplicating and modifying one of the plist text files that is associated with each phone model. By making some minor changes, iSync can 'learn' how to talk to the N-series phones. ![]()

OS X 10.3 - iSync - N70?? [quote=mw84]Does your Powerbook have bluetooth? If yes then turn on your phones bluetooth do a search for 'any device' on your mac to see if it shows up. Anyone know about getting the N70 to bluetooth iSync with OS X 10.3.x ?? Have seen the hacks for 10.4.x, but nothing other than that? Thanks.

Will give it a another look when I get home tonight, but when I checked (briefly) last night, the files/directory structure in the older version of iSync didn't match up with the hacks mentioned.

Without using bluetooth, the easiest way to transfer image and audio files is to use the memory card from the phone in a usb card reader - the card should have shipped with an adapter to make it fit into standard MMC slots. The card will appear as an icon on your desktop and you can just drag and drop.
