Can't burn DVDs

Hello I am trying to make copies of my DVD's to have back up copies. I purchased DVD2OneX2 to copy them and Toast 6 Titanium to burn them. Everytime I click to copy the disc in Toast it shuts down unexpectedly. So I downloaded Popcorn because I heard that works well, but I have the same problem, it simply shuts down when I click to copy. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me? Is there something I am doing wrong?

There are three steps to copying a commercial DVD: rip - to remove
copy protection, compress as needed to bring the file to the capacity
of your DVD-R, and burning.

You missed step 1 and duplicated steps 2-3. Popcorn compresses and burns
all by itself. DVD2OneX (v2) now has built-in burning in addition to
compression. Ripping can be done via several programs, the most
protean of which is MacTheRipper. MTR 266 is freeware from the usual
suspects. Newer protection schemes are handled by MTR 3 (in beta). Go
to ripdifferent.com and join the MTR forum to find out how to get V3.

Yes

Yes I used Mac the Ripper... saved it to my hard drive.. shrunk it using DVD2One.. but when I go to copy the disc in Toast or Popcorn the program just closes and it pops up "The application quit unexpectedly." I am completely lost as to what to do.

I can see where Popcorn might puke on a DTOX file. It wants the
original VIDEO_TS folder from MTR. Popcorn compresses and burns
in one step. And be sure to have the 1.0.3 update to Popcorn.
