Will my Sawtooth logic board work in a Quicksilver?

I am asking because I am thinking of buying a Quicksilver case from someone but it's only a case/chassis with nothing else inside it. I am wondering if my Sawtooth internal organs will work inside the Quicksilver until I can buy a Quicksilver logic board for it.

If anyone could help me, I would be very thankful.

I am asking because I would rather have a Quicksilver than a Sawtooth. And I am asking because if it would work in it, I could use the stuff from my Sawtooth in it until I can get all the stuff for the Quicksilver, then put them back in the Sawtooth.

Yes, in theory you could take the guts of a Mac mini and throw them in a Quicksilver case and it would work. The question, like Major Burns asked, is, "Why?" Why go through the trouble of taking the guts out of your Sawtooth, putting them in a different case, then putting them right back into the old case when you get the QS parts? Why not just leave them in the case they're in now? Putting Sawtooth parts into a Quicksilver computer won't give you any benefit over leaving them in the Sawtooth chassis. Plus, a Quicksilver case with Sawtooth internals is not a Quicksilver. It's just Sawtooth internals inside of a Quicksilver case.

At any rate, what you want to do is really none of our concern, so with that being said, yes, your Sawtooth internals will work inside the Quicksilver case, provided you use the Sawtooth power supply (I don't know if QS power supplies are compatible with Sawtooth motherboards). Technically, you don't need a case at all -- if you have a motherboard, power supply, RAM, hard drive, keyboard and mouse, you can run a perfectly operational computer without a case at all -- just the guts all hooked up and laying around.

You're going to have a fun time trying to line the ports up in the back, though, if you do put the Sawtooth guts into the QS chassis -- they don't match, so be prepared to whip out the dremel.

Thank you, this is what I was wondering. Yes I know It's not going to be a "Quicksilver" or even faster. Like I pointed out, I plan on getting a Quicksilver sometime, and I can get one for a cheap price.

Now what I think you guys are wondering is why would this guy put a Sawtooth anatomy into a Quicksilver? And the answer is simply the looks. Because I like the way it looks. And like I said, I will put the stuff back into the Sawtooth when I get all my stuff for my Quicksilver...

But alas, my question is answered, so since the ports aren't gonna line up, I'll just saw screw it and wait until I get all the stuff for my Quicksilver.
