| Backup - 3.1 I recently purchased a .Mac account and downloaded the Backup utility. I have no problem backing up vitals to my iDisk. I want to make a complete backup of my vitals onto DVD. I seem to be getting error messages when I attempt to burn at 4x, but when I lower to 2.4x is burn ok, but many of the disks I have tried (that have never been used before) don't work. Is there anything I can do to make these DVDs work properly? My total backup is 10 DVDs and the first backup got oup to about 5 DVD and bombed out. My HD is failing and needs to be replaced, that is why I am trying to backup my media as soon as I can. Last edited by n2mac; March 1st, 2006 at 10:23 PM. |

| I'm having a similar problem (G4 pb/10.3.9). I've been unsuccessful in doing any dvd backups since I loaded Backup 3.1. I get a "buffer underrun" error message when the 1st disk is about half burned. I've cleaned off my hd to more than 50% un-used, thinking it needed the clear space, but that doesn't seem to have fixed my problem. Any ideas out there? |
