macromedia flash vs. dashboard widgets

I recently installed the latest Macromedia flash as a plug-in for FireFox (1.5.0.1). At the same time I downloaded and installed the latest Apple Security Update for my PowerBook G4 1.6z GHz PPC. After reboot, everytime I go to Dashboard I get a "MacroMedia Flash Player Security" window stating that MacroMedia has stopped a "potentially unsafe operation" because my FoxSports Widget is trying to communicate with "an Internet-enabled location". While this window goes on to tell me that I can change the settings to enable this program to contact the internet, when I slick the "Settings" button all that happens in the FoxSports widget crashes. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem? I love my FoxSports widget and would love to have it working again.
Thanks.
