KVM woes (need to make num lock work on my mac)

Hi All!
After taking some time off to detox I am back ;-)

My new employer bought me a mac mini for work, to have right next to my ugly dell. I decided it would be a good idea to have a KVM switch to switch between the two. This particular KVM (Tripp-lite, model B034-002-R) switches input by pressing the NUM LOCK key twice.

When I am on my dell and I want to switch to my mini, all is well, I press the key twice and it works without any problems. When I am on the mac side though...nothing! I essentially need to turn off my mini to get back to the dell.

I know that macs dont really have a num lock function, and that the key that says "num lock" is really a "clear" key. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? :-)

Have you tried any modifier keys, like control-clear or command-clear?

take the kvm back and get one that uses the scroll lock button. thats how mine switchs, and it works flawlessly with both my mac and win xp box. this is it here.
