Macbook Pro is very hot

If I'm working on my macbook pro on top of my lap it gets pretty hot! This might seem like a stupid quesion seeing as laptops are not usually upgradable but is there an after market cooling system that I can get for it?

To expound, you cannot (should not) replace internal cooling implements. That would be stupid. You can, however, buy a cooling pad or stand that will displace heat at a better rate than letting the thing cook on your legs or the like.

There's many different kinds, you should check local computer stores to see what they have.

Here's an example of a cooling pad:

(I despise Walmart, but this is the only product I could find on short notice..)

Something like this - http://www.amazon.com/15%25201d-MacB.../dp/B0006DV6A4

Just look around on Google and Amazon or eBay. There's a large market for them.

Its also worth keeping in mind that computer manufacturers stopped using the term "laptop" several years back, switching to "notebook" instead, and this was for a good reason. It's not a good idea to have one in your lap on an ongoing basis. Not if you plan on having kids, anyway. ;-)
