Mac & PC shared keyboard and mouse

I use a Mac Book Pro for work on which I use Parallels for PC apps required at the office. I have a FAT32 partition which I synchronize with a PC at home. I can this way use all my files under OS X, Parallels (XP) and the PC at home.

I am moving the PC at home from its position as a primary work computer as well as a game computer to a position as ONLY a game computer. I shall be installing a new Mac, probably a Mini, as my primary work computer for home. I shall sync files between the two Macs as I currently do the Mac Book and the PC. This will give me a Mac Mini for work at home, my Mac Book Pro for the field and office, and this big old PC for games.

I want to install a KVM at home which will allow me to share my nice big flat panel monitor between the PC gaming machine and my home Mac, and a single keyboard and mouse.

My question is what keyboard and mouse will work best using USB on a Mac and a PC. At work I have a large monitor and I use my bluetooth Mac keyboard and mighty mouse, I use DVI and just plug the cable into the mac Book Pro. I like this combination very much. Will a wired Mac keyboard and mouse work on a KVM with a PC? I cannot see that Bluetooth devices will work well, installing bluetooth on a PC is like pulling teeth from an alligator...

Any ideas gratefully accepted.

Lawrence
