Bluetooth keyboard not pairing

Strange Issue- trying to use an Apple Wireless keyboard with my Powerbook G4. When I use the bluetooth set up assistant, it sees the keyboard and asks me to type in the passcode. However it does not offer me a field to enter the code into, and I cannot pair the keyboard to the computer.

Any thoughts?

It never presents an input field, you just have to type the numbers, Don't forget to hit return after the numbers.

Tried that as well. Didn't work. Very strange. Is there a way to reset the keyboard?

I believe the only reset is to take the batteries out. Does the light on the bottom blink when you first turn it on? You may have to test it against another Mac with BlueTooth to isolate the problem.

Hopefully you won't consider this a *dumb* question... do you have bluetooth enabled on the computer?
