external DOUBLE sided dvd on mac mini

I am very stupid because I had a stroke. Every few months I lose everything and have to start over. I forget everything and do not even remember what the icons on my desktop do. I have not found any backup software that I can understand to restore my system.

I reloaded the OSx again. My external dvd does not work anymore. I have an hp dvd740 DS dvd. HP does not offer support for mac on its website, or I cannot find it. Can anyone tell me what software I need and where to get it to make my dvd work? It worked before but I cannot remember what to do to make it work. I probably wrote down how to do it but I cannot remember where I wrote it...

Hm. You may have used PatchBurn. http://www.patchburn.de/download.html ... Just make sure you get the correct version for your OS. Version 4 for Mac OS X 10.4, Version 3 for 10.3 and version 1 for 10.2.

Thumbs up solved

Hi,

Thank you! Thank you kind expert! Thank you, you are a scholar!

The patch did not detect my drive. So I disconnected the firewire cable and tried the usb cable. Then it detected my drive and installed and worked!

With your help I was able to find the program that showed me the problem and allowed me to use my drive again.

thanks to you...
