Macbook (2.4 GHz black) for editing

Just picked up a Macbook (or will be soon.) I'm planning to load Final Cut Pro 2 on there and wondering if it will run it fine with little to no problems. I plan to use it for editing purposes. I am running on a tight budget is my other reason for leaning on the Macbook to start out. Any and all help is appreciated.

Final Cut Pro will not run on a Macbook according to its specs. Final cut Express will run.
