| Hi, I have an old SCSI Travan drive that I want to see if I can use for bakups on my OS X box. It's APS branded (model # 2094-008P, if that means anything to anybody), and Retrospect says the guts are Seagate. I've got an Adaptec SCSI card (2096, I think) and I just downloaded the driver for that today. And of course, is doesn't work. Retrospect's Device Info shows the thing as being there, but when the time comes to run the backup, it says, "No device present." I'll try to get in touch with APS to see if they can help, but I've never had great service from them. Does anybody know if this can even work? And how? | Are you using any type of SCSI adapter? Like a SCSI 1 to SCSI 2 adapter, for example. I was using one to connect to my HP DDS3 drive, and Retrospect wouldn't recognize it until I got the right SCSI cable. The cable is another thing you should check as well-try buying a new cable to see if that's the problem. The MacNut
