| cdrw drivers a friend recently gave me an acer cdrw. i have an older powermac without a cdrw so i thought it would be nice to hook up. so i plugged it in and all went well for READING cds. but then i tried to burn one. it tells me that it wont work because there are no drivers for it. acer doesnt make mac drivers i found, so that leaves me here. is there another resource i could tap that could help me out? any ideas? |

| What are you using to burn? What OS are you working on? How does the Acer connect to the Mac? Check out Toast by Roxio. I bet it will support it.

| Apple System Profiler would be good to check what drive model and drive type the system really sees. and Toast should certainly work, also try http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ for additional resources, this site has a lot of information about unusual drive setup and use.
