cdrw drivers

a friend recently gave me an acer cdrw. i have an older powermac without a cdrw so i thought it would be nice to hook up. so i plugged it in and all went well for READING cds.

but then i tried to burn one. it tells me that it wont work because there are no drivers for it. acer doesnt make mac drivers i found, so that leaves me here. is there another resource i could tap that could help me out?

any ideas?

What are you using to burn? What OS are you working on? How does the Acer connect to the Mac?

Check out Toast by Roxio. I bet it will support it.

Apple System Profiler would be good to check what drive model and drive type the system really sees. and Toast should certainly work, also try http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ for additional resources, this site has a lot of information about unusual drive setup and use.
