Unhappy Hardware remote management

I am looking for a remote management card to put in a G4 mirrored drives 1.25 dual.

Normally, these cards are built into a server (in the dark world of wintel) and are accesible via a serial connection. You can then buy a serial to ethernet device, give it an IP address and presto... hardware, networked remote management.

This type of management allows you to power off/on the computer, reboot and other things. I am not looking for a dekstop mangement solution like Timbuktu. I want the ability to control the mac at the base level in case my desktop management fails to reboot successfully. These cards operate all the time regardless of whether the mac is powered on or not.

So, I guess what I am looking for is an internal/external management card for my Power Mac that is accesible via ethernet or serially so that I can then connect it to a serial to ethernet device.

IS THERE SUCH AN ANIMAL?

Thanks.
JR
