How is the slave drive connected to the computer? It could be that the CD system folder does not have the extensions to allow firewire drive to work.

DiskWarrior 2 is for OS 9 only. If you formated the second drive with OS X, it will not be recognized in OS 9.
to correct this, use the OS 9 CD and go to Utilities>Drive setup. Select the second drive and ! don't format it! go to the menu to update drivers. After a restart in OS 9, you should 'see' the drive.

DeltaMac will become famous soon enough
So is your 2nd drive formatted for UFS and not HFS+? You won't access the drvie if it has been formatted as UFS

Try using Disk Utility - Have it scan and make all the repairs.

You need to get DiskWarrior (for OS X which is version 3.x) or Drive 10.
