Pioneer DVR 105

Does anyone know where I can get a Pioneer DVR 105 in the UK? Or can someone tell me another DVD writer that will work in a G4 Quicksilver Mirrored Drive Doors in Mac OS X?
Thanks.
- Paul

One thing to keep in mind, is that toast 5.2 and 6.0, don't support buffer under-run prevention with the dvr-106. Which many have said prevent you from burning at maximum speed without making a few coasters.

If you have toast 6.01 however, they have made it possible for your to use buffer under-run protection with dvd-r's but not with dvd+r's.

www.xlr8yourmac.com

There is an article on the main page there as of today verifying this, as well as in his database of upgrades.

This drive has been reported as being fully supported under OS X 10.2.8 and 10.3, but not under earlier versions of 10.2.

I'm personally torn between this drive which has great specs and the new plextor 708a drive which has even better specs.

The problem with the plextor drive, is it is more expensive, and I have no idea if it is fully supported by OS X 10.3.
