| Scanner compatibility check Just wanted to check that this scanner: http://www.microtek.nl/Product.php?T...etail&P_Id=88& Will be fully compatible with a G5 running Panther? I assume the answer is yes, but then again, I assumed that my new G5 would be able to run Virtual PC...

| It's compatible with Jaguar, so I would assume yes, but if you haven't bought it yet, check with the manufacturer to make sure.

| It says 10.1.3 or higher, which should include Panther. The VPC issue has to do with processor differences between the G5 and pre-G5's, which is a different issue entirely. So try it; you should be fine.

| Luckily I checked with the manufacture. They're working on a driver for 10.3 but at the moment it's not supported.

| It all depends on the software you want to use I guess. My CannoScan 640U is "not supported" because it doesnt have the TWAIN drivers for Mac to let Image Capture or whatever it's called access it. Doesnt mean it doesnt work. I use VueScan normally, works like a charm.
