L3 cache gone? (quicksilver dual 800)

hi

i had the luck of finding both a quicksilver 733
and a dual 800 mhz processor card really cheap..
so all of a sudden i had a fairly fast machine,
for relatively little money.

everything worked fine.. still does,
but at one point i noticed a decrease in performance,
so i checked Systemprofiler, and to my surprise the level 3 cache is gone.

when i first got the machine i had played around with apples CHUD-tools,
to see what the differences are between the old 733 and new dual 800 configs were,
and the differences in having 2Mb of level 3 cache or having none.

so a had the possibilty of switching on/off the level 3 cache, and dual/mono processors.
now the level3 cache is also not listed in CHUD-tools.

where did it go? i want it back!

arri

ElDiabloConCaca will become famous soon enough
Did you try zapping PRAM, and also resetting the NVRAM via Open Firmware commands?
