Arrow DVD Burner Suggestions

I'm thinking of getting an external DVD burner for my Powerbook. Any suggestions?

I've read good things about LaCies in various Mac Forums, you might wanna check those...

I recently thought my SD on my PB was not working properly, it turns out I was using crappy discs.

Moral: Don't buy crappy NO NAME discs, try TDKs...

Lacies drives seems to get good reviews, they have some new one wich can burn images on the top of the cd/dvd:s too, but its slow... nice anyway

Yep -- I would suggest any of LaCie's products with the exception of their "Porsche" branded line. Their Porsche drives suck, plain and simple -- no wonder they're sold at bargain prices.

I don't think there's a "Porsche" external DVD drive that they sell, but if they do, don't get it.

Their d2 line is fantabulous, though.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to look into them.

Has anyone used Popcorn for backing up DVDs?
