[FAQ] - Classic Applications in OSX

I am having trouble with my classic environment in MAC OS X. Some programs like Quickbooks 4 will open and function great in os 9 environment. But, other Programs like Final Cut Pro 1.0 or Imovie 2.0 will not open. I get this error message... "That application or control panel is not supported by Classic" Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Sorry, if it says that something "isn't supported," then it isn't supported. You have to either get a newer, OS X-compatible version of the program, or reboot your computer in 9.

So, first of all, there's an OS X compatible version of iMovie.... it's iMovie 3.0.1, and it's currently available for free to download, or you can buy it, if you don't have a fast net connection. http://www.apple.com/ilife

Secondly.... Final Cut Pro.... sorry, buddy. Guess you'll have to upgrade to version 3, or just reboot in 9 to use it.
