i'd have thought they would allow you to tip the iPhone sideways so that you have a wider area for the keys. This would allow larger letters and room for punctuation keys.

still, some clever ideas. I though it was especially clever how the software increases or decreases the target area of letters depending on how likely they are to be used in the current word.

It's funny how the hype itself is making us demand more from the iphone. Did anyone ever complain about the Treo's TINY keyboard?!
