ARD 3.1 sees only VNC (can't copy/install/etc)

I have an iMac TFT running 10.3.9 (7W98) and ARD 3.1 behind a D-Link DI-624 wireless router with the latest firmware (updated recently). On the LAN I can connect to it from my iBook G4 (10.4.10) and use all of ARD's functionality without any problem. I have forwarded ports 5900-5902 (10.3's default series for VNC), 3283 TCP/UDP and SSH (TCP) to my iMac. I've also attempted setting the iMac as a DMZ host (since I have VNC access to the DI-624's router configuration).

My problem is that, from the WAN, I can not use the extra functionality of ARD that makes it useful, like installing apps, emptying Trash, or even copying files. At my end, ARD says that the host is "VNC Active" only. Also, the ARD widget easily brings up the active screen of the remote host.

I've disabled the "Block UDP Traffic" firewall rule at my end, just in case. No joy.

I can't rule out that the problem may lay at my end, since the configuration at this location is...a little patchy and I have no administrative control over it.

Any ideas?

Fixed

It appears as though my LAN router blocked something. I've changed locations and it works fine.
