Question Serious system worry!

Okay, I was updating files on our site (remotely from home, to the work server in the office... using standard afp, as if the disk was on my desktop)... anyway, suddenly files disappeared from the web folder and cannot be replaced!)

Okay, I thought frst that maybe someone had got into our webserver, but it's firewalled to only our ip, I also checked the access logs, only me.

Okay, I thought that myabe this was some freak occurence, but, it's just happened again, but on my desktop not connected to any remote system; I had a finder window open and about 10 files just disappeared before my eyes, never to be seen again!!

I am now getting v paranoid!
