OSX, SSH & Dreamweaver

HELP!!!

Ok I feel like a total idiot not knowing how to figure this one out...

I'm currently at the Office and we have an Mac Tower running OS 10.2 Server.

Unfortunatly I'm on a Windows Workstation (XP, and don't give me crud about it - I'm working on getting a Power Book! ) using Dreamweaver MX.

Has anyone been able figure out how to connect to OSX via Dreamweaver?

The PC version of Macromedia tells me to download "putty" and some other app from Macromedia's website and place it in the c:/program files/macromedia/configuration/ssh folder which I did. I go to connect and a terminal comes up asking me for my user name and password. I type those in and Dreamweaver takes a few moments before it comes back saying it failed to connect:

Quote:
FTP connection for the site (site name) has been closed, reset or cancelled. If this failure occurred while attempting to connect, it may be due to an unsucessful SSH login attempt. Do you want to teminate the SSH session?
Anyone have any ideas?

How does the Mac version of Dreamweaver connect via SSH?

Thanks.

Either SSHD isn't running on your 10.2 Server machine or you haven't configured Putty to correctly port forward to the server. Once you get that configured right (check dreamweaver's help pages), you simply have to fire up SSH, then run the FTP connection through the SSH tunnel.

Cheers.

open system preferences, and on file sharing or similar, check "allow remote login" (this is how it was done in 10.1.5...)
