Address Book issues with Thunderbird

Hi guys

Ive got a small problem i cant seem to figure out.

I recently did an OSX re-install saving all my info to my external lacie. Everything went fine except for some reason i cant seem to import my address book contacts back into Mozilla Thunderbird.

When i go to import the address book is greyed out. Ive tried changing the permissions to no avail. Luckily enough the mac address book read the file so ive not lost my contacts, i just cant view them in thunderbird.

The file is ldif format and thunderbird is supposed to use this. Is there any way of converting my mac address book files so thunderbird can read them?
