cdubks88 is on a distinguished road
Unhappy Troubles getting Panther to boot.

I installed a Seagate Barracuda 80gb drive in a Bondi iMac for my mother and was trying to install Panther on it.

Did a custom install and everything seemed to go just as it should.

Installation ran all its tasks and then got the message that installation was successful and asked me to restart.

Great! methinks, until I restart.

Now I've got a flashing question mark and the system won't boot......to anything except CD.

Any ideas?

C.

I think you have to install OS X on a (first) partition smaller than 8GB on these machines, and you have to make sure the Firmware is up to date first.
