| Zip utility? Is there an equivalent WinZip application for OS X? |

| Native to OSX is "archive." It makes/expands ZIP files. Hi-lite the file/folder of interest and select the option from the "file" menu. Stuffit is the gold standard, able to handle all manner of compression schemes, but it costs.

| If that isn't enough, go to www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com and search for "zip" (although that might give you too many things, really...). Both services provide you with info and links to the newest versions of all software for the Mac.
