| DVD Player must be stopped Hi guys, this must be easy to do, but I can't stop DVD player from grabbing every DVD I stick in my machine. I want to use VLC, but sometimes I stick in a DVD, DVD Player pops up, I turn off DVD player, and it spits out the DVD helpfully! Oi! Leave that alone! Anyway, I checked inthe settings in DVD player but couldn't find the "When a DVD is inserted, do not launch DVD player checkbox" I know it must be in there somewhere...

| In your System Preferences, under "CDs & DVDs" there should be an option of what to do when a DVD is inserted.

| Go into your sytem preferences and select "CDs and DVDs" Here you can tell the Mac exactly what you want it to do with with any disks that you insert and stop it from using DVD Player to open all DVD Movies (the default option). |
