Recorder

Hi there,
does anyone know or even use a recorder programm that records any audio stream from the soundcard at a set time, directly store the file as mp3, close the file at a set time, and finally shuts down the machine ? System: ibook, G4, OSX 10.4 - regards - Ulrich

'Audio Hijack' and 'Audio Hijack Pro', by rogueamoeba, can do all but the shut down the Mac.

You could set 'Audio Hijack (Pro)' to - launch an AppleScript applet, set to shut down the Mac 'x' minutes after it is launched - when it starts its scheduled recording.

Alternatively, you could set the Mac itself to shut down, via the 'System Preferences' 'Energy' 'Schedule...' button's drop down sheet.
