Restore From Retrospect And Invisible Aliases

Dear Sir,

I recently restored my whole PowerBook G4 hard disk from a Retrospect 6 backup.
Everything worked fine, but on the main volume, 3 folder that are supposed to be hidden, ie etc, tmp and var, are visible.
They are not really folders, but rather aliases to macosx unix folders.
How can I turn them invisible, how they are supposed to be?
I tried some utilities (tinker tools, etc.), but they make invisible the folder to which the alias points to, rather than the alias folder.

Thanks for your help.

DZ
