Tiger and Adobe Illustrator freeze-up

I hope some one can help with this as I have yet to find anything anywhere else.

Illustrator (installed as part of Creative Suite Standard) continually freezes during start-up... it simply stops responding, during initialization.

Re-installing sometimes fixes the problem, but only temporarily.

Shut down and restart of the Mac sometimes works, most times does not.

Does anyone know if there are any issues between Illustrator and either Citrix or Entourage? It seems like it started flaking out after those 2 apps were installed (Citrix being the most recent, and shortly before the problem started becoming serious).

Any help is greatly appreciated.
