Glenisla is on a distinguished road
Tiger Internet Connection Problems

I bought a new iMac today running Tiger and can't get it to connect through my webshuttle dsl annex A usb modem.

The connection still works fine with my old iMac, running Panther. I down loaded the updated drivers from the Hermstedt website (dated 07-05), which are supposed to support Tiger, but internet connect says that the webshuttle is not plugged in, even though it is and both lights are on, and it can't make a connection when I press connect.

I spent over an hour on the phone with my ISP's technical support uninstalling and installing the drivers, unplugging and plugging in the modem, resetting the password, and reentering all the other details, but to no avail.

Any help would be most gratefully received.

MisterMe will become famous soon enough
As a general rule, USB modems are tools of Satan. You are much better off with an Ethernet modem going into a router. With Ethernet, you don't need no stinking drivers.
